It's a strange time, what with all of us self isolating with Covid-19.
That said, we are doing our part to flatten the curve and I hope that you are too!
Now, with Easter coming, I thought it would be fun to compile some DIY crafts to do with the kids.
I think a little dose of color, fun, and thoughts of Spring is just what we need to get us through the long days ahead.
1. Peeps Centerpiece
Now before we get started, my first DIY, isn't so much a craft but rather a centerpiece that I had made out of Peeps!
Yay, Peeps!
I remember looking for a nice centerpiece to adorn our table and came across the idea of using peeps. Luckily I had several packs of these yellow bunny peeps and voila, our Easter centerpiece was born.
After I posted this picture, I had a lot of my friends ask how I did this because the vase looks so slim. All I did was keep my tulips held together with a rubber band, and literally pushed the peeps down the sides with a spoon. I then filled the vase up with water. Interestingly enough, the tulips still stayed pretty for quite awhile and even with the droppy looked, they were still gorgeous to look at! You know I'll be doing this again, but maybe this time with purple Peeps!

2. Felt Easter Eggs
Have I ever expressed to you my love for felt!
Gosh, I just love using it, so when I saw these cute Easter eggs made out of felt – complete with buttons, ribbons and all these other gorgeous adornments – I had to include them in my list of fun DIY Easter crafts for the kids.
As a crafter, I often have felt kicking around, and so I thought it would be easy to complete with things you might have leftover from other DIY craft projects.

3. Egg Carton Chicks
This sweet little DIY craft is perfect for little ones and their small hands.
Most households have at least one egg carton that you can use (am I right?!) and who doesn't love recycling ?
With lots of fun colours, paintbrushes and a few other things, you have everything you need to get this craft done.

4. Easter Egg Polka Dots
These neon, polka dot Easter Eggs are so cute! I mean who doesn't love polka dots!?
I know when my kids and I are decorating Easter eggs, they love to use lots of different stickers and so when I saw this, this fun craft jumped out at me!

5. Sprinkle Easter Egg
I picked this cute craft because I'm always looking for different things to do with our Easter eggs and I like sprinkles.
This one looks like a cake and I love it!
Get the tutorial here.

6. Tin Foil Easter Egg Art
I love shiny things, and these tin foil Easter eggs are shiny ?
I included this craft in the list because it's super easy to do (all you need is some cardboard, tin foil and markers – which almost everyone has!) and you're off to the races.
Something quick and easy that still produces fabulous results – aren't they just darling!

7. Salt Dough Easter Egg Ornaments
My kids have always had a small Easter tree. It's literally just a tree with a few small twigs that they hang little Easter Ornaments (like carrots off of.).
Anywho, when I saw this, the idea of making salt dough Easter eggs really appealed to me as we also make salt dough Christmas ornaments.
Take a look at the picture, doesn't it look beautiful.

With all the lovely ideas above, I hope you can find a craft that will appeal to your little one during this Easter holiday.
I'd love to know which ones you did, and when I get my pictures done of these crafts, I will post an update here.
In the meantime, here is a picture of some of the Easter eggs the boys made last Easter… and don't forget to have fun and check back for more ideas, lists and life here at ItsTheMaples.com
