I truly believe that it is the most wonderful time of the year.

Too bad my kiddos are sick this year ?.
The poor littles have been like this for over a week but as kids are, they are still in pretty good spirits despite the runny noses and deep coughs (update – my littlest one ended up with a ruptured eardrum which was particularly worrisome for this mama since we have NEVER had any ear issues prior to this!)
The last 2 days they’ve been building blanket forts with EVERY blanket and quilt they can find in the house, along with packing it FULL with all their stuffed animals.
Of course, this is all happening in my king size bed ?.
They invite my husband and I to sit in it, which I love but it’s not so comfy for a full sized adult even though I’m only 5’4” (?) because the seating area is quite small (as you can imagine) with all those stuffies sharing the space.
Any who, these kids are the sweetest and as they don’t stay small long, I hope they built blanket forts until their hearts content, or at least until I have to get into my bed for sleep tonight.
Knowing me, I’ll just try to sleep around it!
